Trained at the Growth and Recovery Center (GRC), Family Support
Center (FSC), Bethesda Youth Services, and Alternative House Teen
Shelter, Ms. Lieber specializes in the treatment of eating disordered
clients, troubled teenagers, and people with relationship conflicts.
As part of her work, she often confronts the challenges resulting
from depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem. She also leads the
GRC's older adolescent/adult eating disorders group which addresses
issues raised during recovery from both anorexia and bulimia.
Ms. Lieber directed the Bethesda Area SHARP Enrichment suspension
program for suspended youth in Montgomery County (MC), Maryland
for two years. In this capacity, she often worked with middle and
high schoolers, who struggled with anger management, ADHD, substance
use, and depression, as well as parents. In addition, while consulting
with the Family Support Center (FSC), she served as an emotional
support counselor at Burke school in Washington, DC and helped to
inspire and teach young MC girls invaluable leadership and self-esteem
skills through her coordination of the S.I.S.T.E.R.S. community
service programs.
Working with people of all ages, Ms. Lieber strives to enhance
each client's personal journey to recovery. She believes in capitalizing
on the strengths of her clients and helping them to find ways to
minimize their challenges. She utilizes the psychodynamic, cognitive
behavioral, and feminist theories in her work and is trained to
work with individuals, groups, and families. She may be reached
