Jacqueline Jacobson, L. P. C. is among the founding members of
the Growth and Recovery Center's clinical team. She has special
interests in trauma recovery and grief counseling and is an EMDR
(eye movement desensitization reprocessing) practitioner.
She has facilitated the adult eating disorder group, the body image
group, and the multifamily support group. Currently she runs a women's
group focused on relationships, depression and life transitions.
Her practice is predominantly individual psychotherapy with adolescents
and adults. Jackie received a masters degree in counseling from
Marymount University and did post graduate family therapy training
at Virginia Tech.
She believes the success of the Growth and Recovery Center is the
result of talented and committed clinicians working together in
an atmosphere of friendship and mutual respect. She participates
in the Center's community outreach program by giving talks to local
schools. Jackie lives in Virginia with her son and daughter.
